Key Activities (2020-2024)
Petrol/Diesel Retail Outlets:
2020-2021: MARCOFED began expanding into the petroleum sector with construction and operation of several petrol and diesel retail outlets across
Nagaland.
2022-2023: By the end of 2022, a total of 10 retail outlets were operational, with more planned in the future.
Direct Dealership of Petrol/Diesel retail outlets in different parts of Nagaland State.
MARCOFED has inaugurated 6 more Petrol/Diesel Retail Outlets in Mongsenyimti, Virazouma, Khushiabill, Chumukedima, Tseminyu and Phek.
In total there are now 16 (Sixteen) retail outlets currently operational under MARCOFED Ltd.
2024: Plans to continue expanding petrol and diesel retail outlets across more districts.




Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Minor Forest Produce (MFP):
Participation at Exhibition during B20 (G20 India) Summit at Kisama, Kohima.
MARCOFED participated at the exhibition organized by the State Govt. during the G20 summit on 5th April 2023. Being a State Implementing Agency for PMVDY schemes, MARCOFED showcased around 30 MFP value-added products produced by the VDVKCs.
The response from the delegates was encouraging and an invitation from UAE-India Business Council (UIBC) was extended to MARCOFED to participate in the International Trade Fair to be held at Dubai in the month of November 2023
MARCOFED source local produce such as Kholar and Mung beans from Tuensang, Sumac and Zanthoxylum (Mejinga) from Mokokchung, Chili from Peren and Perilla from Zunheboto. They are quality-checked, packaged and marketed through retail outlets as well as digital platforms. The response has been positive and with the increase in demand for such local organic produce in commercial spaces in and outside the state, MARCOFED plans on procuring more produces from local farmers in far flung districts. This will not only improve farmers’ access to markets and boost their income but also ensure that the supply of produce meet quality standards.
Tribal Artisans Mela, Mokokchung under PTP-NER Scheme
TRIFED introduced a new scheme “Marketing and logistics development for promoting tribal products from the North Eastern Region (PTP NER)” for strengthening livelihood opportunities of tribal artisans of northeastern region through increased efficiency in procurement, logistics and marketing of tribal products.
For this purpose, TRIFED, New Delhi and Guwahati in coordination with the State Implementing Agency, MARCOFED organized the Tribal Artisans Mela (TAM) at Mokokchung, Peren and Zunheboto districts.
More than 1000 artisans attended the melas showcasing various local handloom, handicrafts and Agri & MFP value-added products. Through these mela, 106 artisans from the districts were empanelled by TRIFED.
2020-2021: MARCOFED was designated as an implementing agency for MSP on MFP under the Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVK) scheme, benefiting tribal communities .
2022-2023: 149 VDVKs were sanctioned across six districts, providing training and market access for tribals .
2024: Plans to further expand VDVKs and promote tribal entrepreneurship through the MSP scheme






Micro Financing Scheme:
2020-2021: Proposal submitted to be nominated as the state channelizing agency for National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation
(NMDFC) .
2024: Ongoing efforts to implement the Micro Financing Scheme, targeting minority groups .
Price Stabilization Fund (PSF) Central Scheme:
2022-2023: MARCOFED proposed being appointed as the nodal agency for PSF, aiming to regulate market prices of potatoes and onions during
volatile periods .
2024: The proposal is in progress to mitigate price fluctuations and support consumers .

Participation at the IOCL Prabodhan Training for New Dealers at Tinsukia.
MARCOFED participated at the 5 days Training Programme from 10th to 14th July 2023 at Tinsukia, Assam. The training was organized by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). Comprehensive training was given to new dealers on petroleum retail business, practice of safety measures, customer service, introduction of new servo product lines along with customer/membership reward programmes.


Repair & Renovation works on MARCOFED land and buildings.
MARCOFED has undertaken various long pending construction and renovation works at several of its properties during 2023, such as:
i) Construction of chain-link fence around MARCOFED, Merapani land.
ii) Construction of chain-link fence around MARCOFED, Yampha land.
iii) Construction of chain-link fence around MARCOFED, Zutovi land, Chumukedima.
iv) Repair and renovation works at MARCOFED Market Complex, Signal Basti, Dimapur.
v) Repair and renovation works at MARCOFED Staff Quarter, Ground Floor, Signal Basti,
vi) Construction of Quarter at M/s MARCOFED Nagarjan Service Station, Half Nagarjan,
vii) Repair and renovation works at MARCOFED Head Office, Dimapur.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) Scheme
Sensitization programmes on Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) Scheme which is being held yearly since 2017, is yet to be announced by the Centre for the year 2023-24. However, preparations are being made so as begin work as and when it is launched. Almost all the villages under Phek division have been covered during the sensitization tour, and so far 2180 connections have been provided under this scheme.
A potential target of around 500-700 connections is being expected for enrollment for the year 2023-24.
Under the PMUY scheme, the Government of India is providing LPG connections to BPL families, especially the downtrodden women to equip them with low price gas connections. The connections are being issued in the name of women of the households thereby ensuring women’s empowerment, especially in rural India,
Skill Development and Financial Literacy Programs:
Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) Training: MARCOFED conducted 30-day EDP training programs across multiple districts, focusing on
enhancing entrepreneurship skills in various sectors .
Financial Literacy Programs: Organized financial literacy sessions to educate participants about budgeting, savings, and financial management, particularly
targeted at rural communities .
Jam, Jelly, and Pickle Making Training: As part of its value addition initiatives, MARCOFED offered jam, jelly, and pickle making training, empowering
participants to create home-based businesses by learning essential food preservation and processing techniques .
Skill Development for Artisans: Through collaborations with TRIFED, MARCOFED has provided skill development programs for artisans in sectors
such as handloom and handicrafts, promoting local art and culture .
